What a beautiful person. Sorry I didn't get to know her better.

Can someone tell me why comment line is obliterated so that I have to write blind?
Myrna, when did you live in Park City? How did I miss you? We live there in 65 to 66 then Bud transferred from Howard Johnson's on East Kellogg to Joplin Missouri (Carthage for that year) then on to Atlanta/ Decatur, Ga.

Myrna Carlson Bain!!! So happy you joined. I remember when we had sleepovers and ran around with pink stuff on our faces! Do you remember what year Mark and I met you and Gerald in Wichita? We were staying at Momgrets, my Other Mother in Peck back then but I don't remember when it was. ???
Happy early Birthday, just in case I'm out of Internet range by then.
Hugs, Barb
Hope you have a great Birthday this year! I go to Corpus for shrimp, get in touch if you want, it's been awhile since last time we all hung out in Wichita . Lots of changes.
Next time to S. TX is December when I go to Zapata for awhile.

Happy Bday, Thad! Page covers up message window so writing blind! excuse typos! Barb
Bob was a good friend during high school. I never met his family but still remember his sister was also named Barbara. I helped him run his paper route, then we would go canoeing. He was a true gentleman, shy but brilliant. We had a lot of conversations about the cosmos; he would have LOVED Startalk!

Carol, if the Diane Lawrence you asked about ever lived in Denton Texas and worked out of the maps department at UNT, then I knew her awhile in the 70's, purchased my county maps from her when I worked as a Realtor. I know someone I can ask about her to check for you. I am in Denton so if you ever plan to go up this way, give me a call and I can meet you. 940.391.2413 app messing up, hope this gets there.
David Landrum, your comment on Marg's page had jumped & I didn't see it until I sent a note to Cheryl...then it popped up. And no, being a friend to Marg & Ronnie was really easy.
Cheryl, I did not know that! I am so glad Marg had someone that she knew over there! All of her impairment was physical, she did not have a single dead brain cell in her body and was a total hoot to spend time with. The way things came together, she was able to leave and have a real life for several years! I had visited her in the nursing home and before that, at her mother's house and was tickled to death that she got to move in with Ron. At first I was worried that he might not be a good person but you probably knew him. He also worked there. He was a bit down on his luck but he got his life in order and was the best thing in the world to happen to her. It went both ways. I was so happy for both of them; rides in the van, shopping, their own house & yard, indoor pets to visit and the ability to have your own food supply made all the difference in the world for both of them. They both had a great sense of humor and I was really happy that I got to share a large part of their lives with them. Our moms were both nurses and so was Marg. I have volunteered in nursing homes for years plus had cancer and have lost a lot of loved ones so she knew she could talk 'serious and medical' with me if need be, scattered in between the horrible jokes, food prep and the playing with animals. I always took my lg.dog to visit their lg.dog and their cat so a good time was had by all. (excuse typos, text is jumping) Hope to make it next yr, FINALLY one in the cool. ;)Barb
