Well, my dear friend, yesterday, September 1, 2014, marked 49 years since you left this earth. You are missed every day. I have so many great memories of our youth & teen years. Not everyone knows we shared a playpen as toddlers when our Moms' couldn't keep track of us!! Many Saturday evenings shooting baskets in your driveway, 1955 Garland. Soooo many great memories!!  Love you always.

For those of you that don't know, Louie was killed in Viet Nam, September 1,1965. He had won top marksmanship & joined an elite reconnaissance, team. They were out on a mission & he stepped on a land mine. He died instantly.

Thank you, Kay, for remembering Louie today. He was a great childhood friend. I think very fondly of him very often. I remember the day his death was reported in the paper. We had many good days at his house, 1955 Garland, as you say. Thank you.

It is important to think of our old, dear friends.

Here's to Louie.

I remember Louie very well. I Don't remember anyone ever having said anything bad about him. He was one of those guys that everybody liked. I think about him every time the Viet Nam war comes up. He and about 58,000 others lost their lives in that war. Let'
