DAVID LANDRUM 

David Charles Landrum, known to friends and family as Dave, a.k.a. Crabman, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2023, in Wichita, Kansas, after a recent battle with health issues. Born on March 24, 1945, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Dave was an exceptional individual known for his kindness, thoughtfulness, and gentle nature. He will be dearly missed by his loved ones.
Dave's early life was spent in Oklahoma City, where he attended school until 1954. His family then moved to Wichita, Kansas, where he continued his education at Pleasant Valley Junior High School and Wichita North High School, graduating in 1963. Dave went on to attend Wichita State University, earning his Bachelor of Arts degree, and laying the foundation for a successful career.
Dave spent his entire career working alongside his father, Charles Alton Landrum, and his brother, Richard Alton Landrum, at the family-owned business, Midwestern Insulation.
Dave was an avid fitness enthusiast and former marathon runner. His passion for staying active and healthy was a testament to his commitment to living life to the fullest. Dave was also a trivia guru, always ready to share his vast knowledge with friends and family. He enjoyed betting on the dogs and traveling to Las Vegas, where he could indulge in his love for excitement and adventure.
His gentle demeanor, coupled with his willingness to lend a helping hand, made him a cherished friend and confidante to many.
Dave is survived by his loving wife, Carole Landrum; his son, Yancey (Kim) Landrum of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his daughter, Nicole Landrum of Lampe, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Stephen (Cari) Landrum, Geoff Landrum, Catherine (Hunter) Farhat, Kimberly Reed, and Joshua Landrum, as well as multiple great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Lisa Stevens (Jim). Dave was preceded in death by his father, Charles Alton Landrum; his mother, Betty Louise (Johnson) Landrum; and his brother, Richard Alton Landrum.
Dave's kindness, thoughtfulness, and gentle spirit will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him. In memory of Dave let's raise a drink. Rest in peace, Dave.
